Murphy’s Irish Pub and Roche Winery Together Again on St. Patrick’s Day!
Murphy’s Irish Pub has been a Roche family favorite for years…Roche Winery Founders Joseph and Genevieve Roche, would invite their family and friends to enjoy fish and chips while enjoying a pint or a glass of Roche wine.
The big news on the Sonoma Plaza this winter was that Murphy’s changed ownership and the new owners (one owner is a Roche wine club member!) committed to remodeling and freshening up the interior of the pub plus updating the menu. Of course, Roche wines will be prominently featured on their wine menu!
The Grand Opening of the new Murphy's is on St. Patrick’s Day. Murphy’s will be roping off the alley way, offer live entertainment (rumor has it that the bands Wry Rovers and Prady Bunch will be playing), serve corned beef and cabbage (of course!), and even feature a bagpipe performer to be on hand.
The Roche family’s wine will be featured at a special “wine table.” At the table, the staff at Murphy’s will exclusively be serving our 2015 Roche Sonoma Unoaked Chardonnay and 2013 Roche Carneros Pinot Noir. The Roche family is honored they have chosen this Irish Sonoma wine family to pour on this special day.
We hope you visit Murphy’s soon on your next trip to Sonoma and enjoy this great Irish pub, a Roche family go-to for food and drink.
