New Winery Construction Enters Final Phase
With all the wine making areas complete at our new Sonoma Valley winery we have now entered the final phase of construction focusing on the finishing of our tasting room and hospitality areas as well as the final grading, paving, and landscaping.
The hospitality areas are beginning to quickly take shape as cabinetry has arrived for the tasting bars, and the grading and installation of our outdoor "Tasting Pavilion” has commenced. With its designed influenced by our popular outdoor tasting patio at our downtown Sonoma tasting room, the elevated Tasting Pavilion overlooks our Tipperary vineyards and the vast acreages of Sonoma Valley vineyards beyond. The Tasting Pavillion and Plaza will provide both indoor and outdoor tasting options, many seated areas for your private or group tastings and/or picnics, as well as outdoor fireplaces to gather around and enjoy Roche wines.
Next week we will be planting sixteen 25-year-old olive trees through the pavilion and grounds. Once these large trees are planted and in ground, the rest of the landscaping will be delivered and installed. When all of the large equipment is off site, the last phase of construction, the paving of our entrance and parking lot will be commence.
We are counting on the “luck of the Irish” that there will be no hiccups from now to finish, and we will soon be planning our Grand Opening events to take place in mid-July. Stay tuned!
We are still hosting vineyard and winery tours on weekdays, by appointment, so we invite you to come out soon and see the progress of construction yourself!
