Roche Winery Efforts Aid in Wildfire Recovery

Following the devastating October wildfires in the Sonoma wine country, Roche Winery stepped up to do its part and assist in the recovery efforts.   The Roche family, staff and customers mobilized in several ways to raise funds and aid in the rebuilding of our beloved Sonoma wine country following the devastating fires.

50% of Sale Proceeds Donated from Roche Winery’s “Red for Relief” fundraising campaign.  At the end of this past October, Roche Winery created a national “Red for Relief” wine sales campaign.  50% of the sale price of each wine sold in the “Red for Relief” campaign was donated.

60% of Proceeds Donated from Roche “Sonoma Strong” t-shirts.   Our staff custom-designed Sonoma Strong t-shirts, printed the shirts and them sold them in our Tasting Room and at our annual wine club member Post-Harvest Party (insert a link to our customer event page https://www.rochewinery.com/customer-events/ ).  In fact, $15.00 out of every $25.00 t-shirt sale was donated!

20% of All Proceeds and Tips Donated from Tasting Room Sales.  Our Tasting Room was the first to open on Saturday, October 14th on the Sonoma Plaza.  Due to staff scattered and many out of the area following mandatory evacuations, the Roche family and management team worked behind the bars and served customers – all tips collected were donated.  Additionally 20% of all Tasting Room sale proceeds beginning October 14th through October 25th were donated.

All proceeds referenced above were donated to the Community Foundation Sonoma County Resilience Fund.  This is a disaster fund which was established to address Sonoma County’s mid- to long-term recovery needs.

We believe our efforts paid off and the campaigns were successful.  Brendan Roche and his family were extremely proud to present a check to the Community Foundation Sonoma County in the amount of $10,184 thanks to the great support by our staff, customers, and local Sonoma community.
