It is Vintage Festival Time in Downtown Sonoma!
If you plan to stop by our tasting room this coming weekend, just be aware that the 3-day Vintage Festival will be taking place in our downtown Sonoma historic Plaza (September 22nd – 24th). Since 1897 the Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival has brought visitors to Sonoma on the last full weekend of September and it is California's oldest festival.
The Plaza will be filled with arts, crafts, and food vendors for the 120th running of this affair. Visitors will enjoy watching (or even joining in!) a grape stomping contest as well as listening to great cover bands and music. Our own “Tie Dye Jon”, a Roche team member at our tasting room for more than 12 years, sells his handmade tie dye wears at the festival every year.
Before attending the festival, come on by our tasting room and pick up a bottle of Roche wine and some light bites to take with you and share with family and friends. Or, after the vendors close down their booths for the day, walk on over to our tasting room to sip wine on the patio with others enjoying the weekend’s activities. As always, our Roche tasting room is open late until 7:30pm to serve you.
See you this weekend on the Plaza…Slainte!
Mara Roche
Note: The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival benefits several Sonoma Valley community projects and nonprofits; this three-day festival is organized and produced by local volunteers.
